yeah yeah....it's an itty bitty hill 15 mins from my driveway. I can't complain. it serves the purpose of getting kids hooked.

Yeah that. There used to be a ski/snowboard forum here, then it was split off and a few Monkeys got accounts over there, but it just never really seemed to take off. Teh Monkey is a great site for MTB, but there are already other moar established ski/snowboard sites it turns out. SlopeMonkey just never seemed to get any traction.
