UAW trust to get 17.5 percent of GM shares

Wow, that sucks. I wonder if they can use the car voucher for something other than a GM vehicle.

Production workers will be offered $20,000 plus a $25,000 car voucher for early retirement, while skilled trades workers will get $45,000 plus the car voucher.

The market rally has even caused GM shares to rise...who in the hell is buying them??

The rally was quite broad with all 30 stocks in the Dow moving higher -- even General Motors (GM, news, msgs), widely expected to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection later this week or next -- a move that would wipe out shareholder equity.
