what's a fair price to pay for this laptop?

The person who won the auction backed out, so that's not really a market generated price. I bid on it, but "lost". Seller contacted me asking if I was interested.
Its pretty hard to tell without a photo to judge condition. Dell refurbs (with warranty - thats key for used hardware, especially notebooks) are about $600 with slightly better specs.)
I would say $300 but I don't think I would buy a Toshiba with all their recently quality problems. I did a 7 week job at one company and 10 out of around 30 Toshiba laptops they had needed to be sent in for service
