I'm doing a family dinner w/ the girls family... I'll be cooking the potatoes....
Sour cream, roasted garlic, butter, and maybe some cream cheese thrown in.

mom's cooking as always. Big crew as always.

I am going the potatoes too. fresh garlic, shallots, green onions, sour cream, milk.

butternut squash with maple/brown sugar glaze

endless pies

It was supposed to be a Mexican buffet, but now it's back to the boring traditional type stuff. I'm making amaretto pumpkin pie.

We're doing the big dinner with the wife's family in the heart of PA Dutch-country this year. I've been asked to bring potato filling. The best way to describe it is that it's a mixture of a traditional bread stuffing and mashed potatoes and it's actually really tasty. Not many folks outside of PA Dutch-country have ever heard of it. I scored a secret weapon that will hopefully impress the extended in-laws family...a buddy's great-grandmother's recipe. :thumb:
