What's needed to convert 2016 fox 40 to EVOL

I want to do a new air side on my 40...it is decent but the Evol system is apparently smoother...so I'd like to upgrade and saw it can be but no info on what's needed...

I assume the air cart, stanchion or will my stanchion work? And anything I'm missing to make it happen....

Well
You need a stancion.
And the airshaft assembly.

However if you know someone with a big lathe
You can cut your tube to take the new air sealhead and hoopster.

And drill your piston
And put a fulfill valve
Moar schraderz

But tbh 3 schraders is the right amount...

Is it a massive improvement? Or not worth the hassle...

Also what's needed to upgrade to grip 2? Just the cart?

Just looking at options, I am curious to source parts for an Evol upgrade If it's a good come up...

As far as cutting tune or opening it up, Where?
Drilling and tap piston is self explanatory.

A spring negative isn't the worst thing....
But.
The spring has to be appropriate for the pressure and at your weight it's not.

So an evol would probably work better.
The dual air thing was cheaper for me than another stancion. But it's meh.

Evol with a runt deal is probably the way to go.

Pffft grip 2
Rc2 with moar shimz

When you mentioned the stanchion what's different between new and older fox 40 stanchions...I know the ID at base is tighter I had to turn a ring down to hold avy damper in place...so is the whole tune thinner or just the base?
Found a 190mm Evol I'll look to see about a 203mm...looks like a single stanchion is $150 new...

Let me know if I'm close on any of this..

Regarding RC2 I've seen alot of this and that but what would be a good starting point or most common shim fix?

The old stancions had a spiral lock
The new have a stepped cavity and a hoopster
It keeps the airsealhead from moving up.

Also the balance dimple.

Going to order the parts l, sold off the 36...so is the RUNT (secus I'm worried about ripping off) worth it on a 40 also or is just a Evol upgrade good enough, or maybe RUNT with my air damper (2016)...either going to try and order all at once or just do 1 of these to the 40 and retune
