I know the Intense DH tires were close to that retail last time I looked.

I'm a cheap bastard, so anything over about $30 isn't even a consideration. I have had great luck with Maxxis tires though. I ran them on my dirt bike as well as my mountain bike.

lol...well be glad you don't race your truck...my car tires range anywhere from $150-$200 ea.
Ouch.

I was at the opposite end of the spectrum for years. My Geo Metro used tires that were just slighly larger than a spacesaver. All I rode were WTB tires back in the day (~$25-30), and it wasn't unusual to have one bike tire cost more than one car tire.

Just curious. I was looking at Maxxis' website last night and saw a 330g XC race tire for $68 per tire. I thought that was a tad pricey.
$68/tire, cute lol the Tires I just got for my Giant are double got a set of Pirelli Scorpion Race Enduro T shipped to me, they were $123 Canadian plus taxes and shipping. Altogether they were probably oh, idk, $175 each accounting for the shipping as well

15+ years of inflation and six billion tire sizes and compounds.

My Pirelli Race Enduro/DH M's were about 100 Aussie dollars each.

I assume they come with a 30,000 mile tread life warranty.
Well, if you use them just for winter, they tend to last a LONG time. I have some WC on their 2nd season, look fresh as the first. Took some original D5s out to around 5-6 seasons just fine, still going on my bar-bike now in 7 or 8. I'd figure 4 seasons easy on snow, with more than that possible. Nothing like my summer tires that are usually gone in a season...sometimes less.

You get a whole season out of your summer tires? I'll bet I go through 3-4 rear tires a year, and a couple front ones.
