I cannot answer your question. I though 26" was narrow for bars...

One Tonic Fab team member is going to be rocking 32's via some modded bars. Actually feels pretty dang good; I could definately see myself on something greater than 28's now.

BCD: I'm pretty stoked on your bikes. Looks like some really orginal thinking. I was very curious about your chainstay lengths...extremely short by DH bike standards. How did you come to this measurement? I could see some real advantages with this geometry, but I don't have the prespective of a DH racer.

well it starts at 16.5 ish and at sag its a normal 17.25ish.

its just something that has to be done b/c of such hight

pivots. other wise at full bottom out it would turn like the titanic.

the front does come up better and there is no sacrifice in WB.

it actually has a longer wb than most at full bottom. makes for a

super stable landing platform.

So the 2007 run of BCD frames will be 29er only? It seems the wheel and tire options are still somewhat limited, though the new Sun High Rider wheelset would fit rather well...

how wide is the sun rim? i have not seen one.

i ran 28mm WTB's with no dents all year. and that was with
2.1 tires. the new kenda nevegal and panaracer rampage
work great for dh. 29s are a whole new ball game. its suprized
me how much more traction you get with not that much tread.

makes for a faster rolling tire with the same or beter traction.

im fairly confident you could move the brake in one more inch.. theres a lot of room. i can double check and get real measurements and post up tonight.

just measured em.. i could go down to 23" and then the resivoir for on my brake will hit the bar (juicy7) not sure what brakes you run. theres a ton of room to move the brake in on the bar, just the brake resi is whats gonna stop you.

They are introducing a 700c Rhynolite wheelset for 07'...it looks promising for the new breed of 29er trail bikes. From what i've seen, it'll be a sturdy wheel, though I haven't heard if they will release the rim only for aftermarket.
