We always have 3 or 4 bottles on hand. I can't remember the last time where we drank one bottle and didn't drink a second.Giddy pleasure, leaping grace... this red wine, blended from seven noble grape varietals, was crushed by the syrinic hymn of 69 beautiful women, reaching for the high note in the wee light of dawn one misty October day. The nose is deeply perfumed with wild dewberries, Himalayan breeding musk and horehound candy, while the flavors, so titillating they may only be disclosed in the Ecstatic Singing Mantra, will remain cloaked in silence until the bottle is uncorked. Sip delicately, sing with abandon.
Penfold's and Lindeman's are two winners in the low pricepoint category, IMO.Penfold's Rawson Retreat
I'll second the Concha y Toro. We get it at BJs for about $7-8 and it's the big bottle!Penfold's and Lindeman's are two winners in the low pricepoint category, IMO.
My favorite in the <$10 category can be found at the local Trader Joe's - Concha y Toro Cab for $7.99 a bottle.

That's like saying an Oregon Pinot Noir is a Burgundy.
You mean like Zinfandel? It's the long "lost" grape of Croatia....ok then; the long lost GRAPE of Bordeaux.
Oh, you mean Crljenak Katelanski ?You mean like Zinfandel? It's the long "lost" grape of Croatia....
Yeah! The naked lady riding a bike wine. Had their cab with a pot roast awhile back. Good stuff. We enjoyed a bottle of Cycles Gladiator Syrah with a pizza last night, it was $11. Good fruit forward black cherry and peppery kinda thing, and ya gotta love the label.

Hah, my dad bought a bottle of that for me last time I was up visiting him, just because of the label. It was pretty good, but it was worth buying even if it was bad, just for the labelWe enjoyed a bottle of Cycles Gladiator Syrah with a pizza last night, it was $11. Unaffectionately known at our house as "2 buck upchuck". 'cept that it's 3 bucks up here in WA.
I figured you would have said water.Barefoot always produces. There's a wine in Trader Joes rightnow from Napa that is awesome! Mondavi and Bevmo's 5cent sale make lots of wine fit that category...so many choices.
