Friend of mine last year wore a wife beater with mud stained up to the armpits and white boxers covered in mud, covered himself in mud and went as a katrina survivor... carried a case of miller high life into the party on his shoulder.

I'm thinking about going as a lawn jockey, but I haven't decided if I'll go all out in blackface or not. I don't mind being entireley UN-PC, I just don't want to get my @SS beat.

Good call! Amish are pacifist... so no worries about getting a beat down.

and Full Trucker... I'd skip the black face - too much bad history there. Just ask Ted Danson.
You know, when I thought of the costume, Ted Danson is exactly what I thought of. I ain't joking, I remember how "up in arms" everyone was about that whole deal. I'm probably gonna skip it, but it seems weird to me that you can buy one of those little lawn ornament things and it's no big deal, but if I showed up dressed as one in blackface people would get all pissed about it. Hell, you can even buy one of THESE little guys:

Ah well, I think it's a good costume whether I paint my skin or not... the little lamp is gonna rule!

i was thinking the same thing. i lost my sister and brother'in'law on 9/11. with the self-destructive attitude and emotions i had after that, if i saw a guy dressed up as an arab suicide bomber, i would of thrown down. if i saw it now, big deal, but come on, a month after the wtc's went down, come on brother.

on a lighter note, im gonna be Ted Kaczynski

My wife and I are going to be Lance and Sheryl Crow. She say it'll be great, we can ignore each other and flirt with other people all night. :p
