I am thinking about ditching my 888 and going for a 666...anyone know when they will be out and what they will cost?

Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
That, simply is not possible:evil:one7one said:ahh....must be listening to slayer too much
The 66 will come in 170mm (6.69") and 150mm (5.9") travel versions.Kanter said:I saw a few of the new Zoke single crowns at Whistler and a few on the north shore. I was told it is a 7" single crown with a 1 1/8. Does anyone have the scoop? Is it 6" or 7" or are there both?
ya...guy on a Giant right?Tully said:I saw a 66 at Whistler this weekend, but I didn't have a chance to ask the guy if it was a prototype (which I would assume it was).
HEY LOOK, Knuckleslammer has 666 posts. Coincidence? :evil:Knuckleslammer said:F-Mountain Bike Action. They are a bunch of washed up idiots. I'd line em up and shoot em. Jerks. If I was Marzocchi (although not a smart marketing move) I'd tell MBA to GPFS. F***K THEM. Marz would probably have better luck advertising on the Monkey and other sites than that stupid as* magazine. Yeah I still read it, well look at the pictures. I love how they nitpick everything. They suck.

I thought he was actually on either a Norco or Kona, but I don't remember for sure.Acadian said:ya...guy on a Giant right?

case in point, a few months ago they were suggesting the dorado was the end-all DH fork and suggesting it to everybody who wrote the magazine...it may be a good fork, I like TPC, but they were being flat out biased on it, no doubt. The latest mag I picked up critisizes the 888 as being "harsh" at small impacts and ripples...now given marzocchis reputation and the way they design forks, I find this extremely hard to believe...same old same old with MBA.OGRipper said:MBA sucks. They love everything made by one of their advertisers, and come up with totally random conclusions with no basis in fact or reason. Plus they have this reputation as dh experts, but they consistenly get xc guys to test big-travel bikes. WTF? No problem with xc, but when you read about how the test riders wouldn't hit the drops at Northstar you've got to wonder how they got their gigs, and how useful the reviews are.
But like any junkie I look at it if I see one laying around.
Not to hijack the thread or anything.
I still dont get 26. I have a new copy and i'd say its 80% non XC. Wasnt this supposed to be the trail/XC mag? Not that i really care to read a bunch of XC articles and bike reviews,. i just think its odd. Declines hoochi mama pics also have seemed to , well, decline....Langer said:MBA sucks. Decline and Twenty six are way better. Better pix and articles.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! And even thier alternative names wont get them into heaven.Knuckleslammer said:Welp, I hope the entire crew of MBA dies in a firey bus accident with all their sheitty magazines on it.

A dual crown type fork with 7inches, and you like the 66(6)?Langer said:HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! And even thier alternative names wont get them into heaven.
I hope MBA is reading this thread.
P.S. I am really looking forward to the 666 fork coming out even though I would prefer a dual crown type fork with 7inches travel. I would worry about it snapping with my hack goon riding style!

What's wrong with that? Sounds good to me.bighitfsr said:Decline sux.
Its like soft porn mixed with pix of bikes and racing.
Worst Mag ever..
Unless they have a big advertising contract. :evil:bighitfsr said:MBA deserves some credit very few Mags will slam a crappy product but MBA do this if they believe a product is crap.
Kornphlake said:You all know darn well that MBA appeals to the nitwits who buy $4500 Ellisworth's since their $85,000 hummer came with a rack and they didn't have anything to put up there. Anybody without a single skill or any concern for the sport would find MBA to be quite informative and entertaining. Reading MBA is the only thing that makes certain guys hardcore. MBA doesn't publish magazines to inform people, they do it to make money, either by selling advertisements or by selling subscriptions, by appealing the poser market they can sell a lot more of both. To appeal to the poser market they have to write the way they do. You see they're meeting their business goals.
