Where did the prisoners' hoods come from?

I would agree with you except for one thing. The Red Cross is saying they have been reporting these abuses since the war bgean. If that is indeed the case, and word of it failed to reach the White House or they failed to respond then something is very wrong and they do need to be held accountable.

I believe the military has also audited and written a report on prisoner treatment. Until recently Rummy stated that he had not read it yet.

Exactly... the point is not that this happened under their watch without knowing about it, but that Rumsfeld may have known for a while, and he didn't alert Bush. As much as I dislike Bush, the man is doing many things at once and relies on his people to keep him informed.

You can't tell me Rumsfeld looked at the images and thought that it wouldn't be a scandal if they were released!

No just a simple desire to have less of an idiot in charge.

I'm sure when ole Bush is kicking back on vacation, the troubles of his golf handicap must stifle his leadership skills. What a great leader who not only holds the confidence through the poor intelligence of WMD's, but then get's blindsided with this nightmare by supposedly first witnessing it from media reports. It's his responsibility to fill his cabinet with people who will benefit America, not bury it.

How, in any way possible, is Bush NOT responsible?

Who started this war? Did or did not Bush + Blair start this war? Or did I miss Iraq invading America? Did Iraq pose a threat to either country? No. Was the war a violation of international war? Yes.

Bush is absolutly responsible. No war, no POWs, no torture.

Pin it on Rumsfield if you like, Commander in cheif is showing his colors as pussy-in-chief.

Vote Republican! For an America with all the freedom and none of the responsibility!

Did anyone see SNL? "Private England" won skank of the year :D I think it was during the SNL News segment. Funny stuff.

Too bad SNL is going downhill again.

I believe it was 'dirtbag" of the year.

I also liked it when they said blaming Bush for what's going on in th Iraq would be like blaming the San Diego Chicken for the Padres losing.

THEN they said that Bush would never fire Rumsfeld, because THAT would be like Paula Abdul trying to fire Simon Cowell

SNL was great - that was classic. She had the cig and the hand gesters nailed.

The Padre's crack had me rolling too.

And Nizzle does not mean neighbor...
