I'm applying to a fire department right now and they're asking for a Selective Services Number.. I need the original. WHere can I get one? I remember getting something when I was 18 but that was like 8 years ago. I have no idea where the hell it is.

Weird - I have no idea where I'd find mine. Never thought I'd need it again.

If you need the actual card I'm sure there is some way to get another through the website.

Call the phone number on the selective service site. They will give you your # over the phone and mail you a card.

Had to do it recently myself.

I can't believe you guys have to do that.

I guess it's better than the required service they have in most Euro countries.
