As I'm sure ALL of you noticed, I was gone last week. I know, my huge post count took a huge dip as I wasn't able to sign onto RM for a huge amount of time.
Anyway, I was up in Deer Valley, UT sun(burn)ing myself under the blue skies, and doing a lot of talking.

Also, I'm terrible at wrapping handlebars with a hangover, just ask Nate...

Here's one of the first things to come out of all my talking:

Yes, those are my pale-ass legs in the photo, I'm happy to sign a print for anyone interested, though I won't sign body parts.

I think I've posted this bike up before, but I'm immensely proud of it, so you'll have to suffer through it yet again...

Wow, those legs sure are white! :) Look a bit hairy too!
They are both, unfortunately. Combo of new baby, TERRIBLE winter, no place for a trainer, and working my @$$ off on 2012 bikes mean I'm a pale, hairy beast. Working to change that, just in time for fall... :)

In Europe most bikes like that have internal gears but in the US the opposite. Any reason why? Seems like on a commuter internal is the way to go with much less maintenance?

The US consumer hasn't, for the most part, embraced internal hubs. Europe is really the leader in that segment. I like them, there is still a pretty big weight penalty with them, but some interesting things happening with them lately...
