You don't seem to get it. The shareholders in Snow Summit DO NOT CARE. They do not want to lose quarterly dividends due to having to pay out the ass for insurance. It is simply not a wise investment. Nothing will bring it back, sorry.
wouldn't more demand possibly bring it back. they must be concerned about getting sued in the winter as well but the amount of money that skiers/snowboarders brings in probably ofsets that. this is only a guess but if they could get as many DH'ers as they can knucle draggers and 2 plankers then they would probably not be doing this.

Where else? Here is the sad truth, the question is who else. TBB, is one of the biggest if not the biggest race promoter in the US, and by far in CA. And TBB is done with it. I know some other promoters are already thinking twice about holding DH races.

When you can pack resorts with 10s of 1000s of riders every weekend as the skiiers do, then they will. Until you even get remotely close to this point, don't count on it.
The best thing to do is let the dust settle with the closing, Snow Summet will know in a few years if they will want to reopen the park to DHers. I'm sure they will take a long look at lost revinew and see if it would be feasible to reopen.
