I had 3...one to post pics for today...one to state what the new theme was for next week and one that was voting...Then you shouldn't have started eleventy trillion threads on it! Here's a thought...one subject = one thread.

OK...in lieu of another thread:
Next week's theme is SCARY (in celebration of Friday the 13th)
The following week will divert to what was voted on which is MOISTURE
This gives extra time to shoot and accomodates JonKranked's "scary bug" theme...even though he doesn't play the game...but I like him nonetheless!!

I dont really think so. I could see one for biking photos, but ride reports does just fine for that. There are plenty of photo forums out there for threds just like these.

Sweet Jesus. This whole weekly photo thing would be barely a blip on the radar if people deliberately make it a bigger deal. The threads in question contain easy to discern subject lines, avoid them if you think they don't belong.
There needs to be two threads each week on the subject. One is the thread to post the photos in. The other is the thread to vote on the following week's theme. DRB was a smartass and bumped up last week's thread this morning, and then the complaining commenced which is the only reason it got to be a big deal.
Let's stick to two threads a week on the subject, and the whiners can avoid them.

Why cant you just have ONE thread for the stupid, non biking photos, and someone can bump it when they have a new photo? Not everyone cares for YOUR other hobbies.
You mean like fvcking fantasy football, which might be the stupidest thing ever? Or the NFL in general, which I like but not everyone does?
Don't be a dumbass. We all post threads of limited audience. You can't expect every frickin' thread posted in a general discussion forum to apply to everyone.
A thread here and there is one thing, but if you admit the problem is so big that it needs to be stickied because people cant read the through the lounge for the clutter, then you see the obvious difference. If you guys need THAT MUCH photography EVERY WEEK, like I said, there are photo forums for that specific purpose.
Lets make a deal, Ill quit with the football, if you guys quit with the photos. Or at least make some nice biking photos instead of all the completely unrelated crap all the time.

There was a problem this morning, a couple too many threads got posted, a couple people got pissy, a couple people fed the flames and poof, they were all deleted and the problem was solved. Move on with your life. If you can't overlook two threads each week, then you have a personal issue that we can't help you with.
Its not just this morning. Its all the time. Non stop. Whatever. I dont even care that much. Just a little annoying. Why inconvenience 16,000+ to satisfy 5 is all Im asking.

Well yeah, there's tons of offtopic crap. I get that that's the point of the lounge, but Im just saying...does there have to be 10 threads of the same off topic thing at all times?

The "photo theme" threads actually add good off topic material to the Lounge, as do the football threads (of course, I love football). No one likes it when any single topic, such as off topic photos and football, dominate the Lounge though. Either subject in moderation is just fine.
My suggestion to Graphics would be to make your thread title date specific, such as "This week's photo theme, 10/6/06" to help avoid confusion.

Started to with the Friday the 13th...but it got deleted.
Anyhow...everyone also keeps forgeting that this is evolving as we go along...it will come together more in a more organized fashion, it's just takin a little time. I think we got it now though.
The Lounge is like a bad episode of The View some days. It's supposed to be off topic banter. Sure bike stuff gets put in here, but it's mostly just people chatting and stuff. It says that they are trying to get kicked out of corporate intranets. How seriously is it supposed to be taken?
