2004 7" Boxxer? You can run either I believe. But if you want to try and slacken the head angle a bit, I would suggest the drop.
I doubt many people are going to want the Sunday more slack than it allready is. Im going to run my front end slammed as low as it will go because the 8" fork is going to jack it up so high allready. Not to mention if you run a drop crown, chances are you are going to dent your top tube unless you rig up something special for it. Go flat crown.

Edit: i didnt see you wanted a 2004 boxxer. That changes things. Use whatever you want to get the right headangle but I personally would run a flat crown still.

Regular crown will be very sweet on the Sunday. Drop crown will let you go slacker, but most people wont need it. The bike and geometry was designed around the e.thirteen zerostack reducers, so it has more front end height adjustability than most DH bike riders are used to.

While we are sorta on the subject does anybody know how long the headtube is on the 17"?

With the E-13 cups I am assuming it is pretty short overall but I am wondering how short.

lucky for you, not many things more blingin' anyways! One could argue that the Sunday is one of the most "blininginest" rigs ever to rip a trail! :D
