Hey Guys am having some trouble with my rear cassette i have a 16 speed downhill bike and everytime i pedal hard in the top gear it slips on me. It has a SRAM cassette on it at the moment and has been replaced once already about two weeks after i got the bike.

What type of Cassette should i get am i better off swapping to Shimano as my mates who have shimano components have had no problems at all or should i stick with SRAM and get the best model there is in 8 speed?

Please help severely frustrated

I've heard Shimano cassettes shift better and last longer than sram ones from several people. I just ordered an XT 11-32. There's good deals on ebay.

cassette should not matter, get an e 13 drs, also make sure your cassette is tight and der stops are set
An old chain or worn cassette can also cause this problem.

Remember that if you do replace your chain or your cassette and you've been riding on both for a long time, you'll probably have to replace them both. An old chain can ruin a cassette and a worn cassette can mess up a chain.

Oh yeah. I like sram stuff as far as cassettes and chains go.
