Funny, the sun rose this morning...
The fact that we've got a new ethnic nation doesn't really bother me somehow... Weren't they already peppers anyway? Now we know for sure. Wouldn't you like to be a pepper too? I doubt it will affect the value of your house, because the Bloc seems to have been given what they want. If they want to separate, they'll have to come up with some actual sound reasons rather than play on French Quebecker's (Quebecois') sense of frenchiness. I doubt they'll be able to find any.
The fact that we're going to have to pay for new street signs for Parc ave bothers me more.
Just as long as they vote Bloc, I'm sure they'd be welcome.

He acknowledges that separation isn't completely necessary.....as long as Quebec is given special privileges.....like not having to give the feds tax revenue, controlling immigration into Quebec....and a few other things, that SHOULD be reserved to a federal agency. I still don't comprehend why, just because they speak french, they deserve special treatment.

They don't deserve special treatment. They are a nation within Canada. They appear to have adopted that. That means federal taxes and all the good stuff that goes along with it that they've been enjoying so far. But with a cool new title. Congrats to them.
As for what comes next, good question. What would "the plan" be if they managed to separate? Imagine they did separate in 95? They'd probably still be jerking around trying to figure out who does what and demanding handouts from Canada.
Leo was laughing about what if Harper said: "Go Ahead, separate. You're now a country, now fack off" What would the separatists do then?
"Uh....it don't work like dat... we need tahme to deter-mine blah blah blah..." There would be no plan, I'm so sure of that. Once the parties and parades were over I think it would be an embarrassing mess.

Seeing as Quebec is "it's own nation within a unified Canada" They should have their own team within the national team. We should make all the Quebec players on the Canadian team wear blue helmets. Maybe they could even say "don't check me, I'm french" on the back.
