This is hardly a new phenomenom N8, hate to break the news to you there mate. Poms are particularly thick on the ground in my and Partsy's part of the world, Kiwis and Sarth Efricunts as well
Edit- what a tired old trotting out of all the stereotypes the Poms have of Australia. Celebrate the outdoors, denigrate the culture, about the only thing missing was a swipe at our beer.

If you can handle the isolation, lack of a social scene, dull work and crap accom working the mines in the outback is pretty lucrative!
