Anyone done this? Can it be done on a hardtail? Sounds like a ton of fun.

I wish i could go! to bad I'd never be allowed to get out of school.
Nearly all the trails in the Prescott area are hardtail friendly. I felt pretty retarded taking my Reign up there. Works well for Sedona area, but the trails I did were all pretty smooth.
About your question specifically, I think I was talking to a guy at a local shop there about that very ride. He said there were three different routes you could take, so even if you wanted to just participate, you could easily take a low-impact route. Anyway, I'd say call 928-445-0280, that's the number for a guy called the Bike Smith (shop is called "The Bike Smith"). Ask anyone who picks up the phone about the ride.
