I don't know if this is old news (sorry if it is) but I just stumbled on this on the Bike Park portion of their website.
I know the bike season there is a long way off yet, but I thought this might get everyone stoked ... or make this Winter seem that much longer and colder.
So, that's approximately 3,600 vertical feet of A-Line? Good gravy."Although response to Garbanzo's hand-built, old-school single track was tremendous, Park riders of all ages, abilities and riding styles consistently asked for one more addition: "Give me A-Line from top to bottom" was the cry heard loud and clear. By the summer of 2005, the cry will be answered and it will be called: Freight Train.
The impact of a tripe-sized A-Line style trail is sure to be huge. A-Line is already the most popular mountain bike trail in the world. The addition of Freight Train will undoubtedly propel the Park's already substantial momentum to another level.
Several other trails will be added to the Garbanzo Zone - Fatcrobat, Too Tight and Angry Pirate to name a few. As more Garbanzo trails come online, the overall 'face' of the area will morph from an expert-only zone to an area that offers experiences to those with a broader range of riding abilities. By the end of the 2005 summer season, it is anticipated that 15 trails from intermediate to expert will be accessible from Garbanzo."
