Haaa, yeah it's like a 6 bedroom dentist joint but we are going w/ 7-9 guys for 8 nights. That's my point though it's still expensive regardless of ppl. Obviously we are staying in a nice joint though.

One of the worst trails on the mountain, I hate that thing.Blue velvet is by far the gnarliest trail at whistler. I'm pretty sure I have stress fractures in my wrists and spine and I've only ridden that trail once. Too rough. Too much blue and not enough velvet.
That's exactly my point, everyone was laughing at 12k for our house but w/ 7-9 ppl 8 nights it works out around $200 a night for a really nice place, a giant garage for storage, and a super easy pedal into the village...Yep, we're there for 2 weeks this year. Staying at creekside... $400/night is outta my budget!!

If you're not doing Goats, there's that compulsory bermed switchbacks section that goes from Original Sin/Blue Velvet before you can get into In Deep or whatever. Those corners are rough as hell on bad days. I think Goats Gully is actually easier on your handsYeah man, I'm not kidding. When I've ridden sections of that trail, the whole thing is the "the washboard section"
That's exactly the section I was talking about. It's much rougher than the rest of the trail. If you're not doing Goats, there's that compulsory bermed switchbacks section that goes from Original Sin/Blue Velvet before you can get into In Deep or whatever. Feel free to insert a joke about me here.Bring your damn dh bike like a man. Top of the world leads right into ride don't slide and creekside has a gondola.
Rent a trail bike if you want to go pedal something for one day.
Going to whistler to ride the trailbike stuff when you own a dh bike is fucking idiotic.
This. TOTW to Ride Don’t Slide is the most fun I’ve ever had on a bike. And there are more trails on Creekside now apparently.Bring your damn dh bike like a man. Top of the world leads right into ride don't slide and creekside has a gondola.

25 years in and they finally figured it out.Misfire is a new trail that goes down to Creekside that’s really good. It looks like somebody drug a rake down the mountain, through the woods, and put up some trail signs.
Nah, it fell off on Blue Velvet.25 years in and they finally figured it out.
You didn't catch your fanny pack on any branches did you? Friggin liability those things. And not just at the bar after riding.
RDS isn't what it was back in 2010/11... rode it last year and its still rowdy but no where near the dear-mother-of-god levels it used to be. I found Delayed Fuse was worth a spin down. BCs was good if a bit janky as well.This. TOTW to Ride Don’t Slide is the most fun I’ve ever had on a bike. And there are more trails on Creekside now apparently.
We rode it two years ago. One of the locals was telling us it built by trials moto guys years ago. I think it was 2 years ago. It was the only trail on that side until you got almost to the bottom, and then something else split off. They were working on some other trails then. Either way, I was really digging that side of the mountain.RDS isn't what it was back in 2010/11... rode it last year and its still rowdy but no where near the dear-mother-of-god levels it used to be. Dude, my team!Man I have to get un-lazy and get up there. I just can't be bothered to drive the hour and 45 min.
Yeah everybody on the planet knows that.Cross at the truck crossing instead of at Peace Arch. It’s the exit before the peace arch on the I5. Take highway 17 to the 1 West and that’ll take you to 99 just north of the city. You have to pay the small toll for crossing the Port of Mann bridge, but it’s a much faster route and there is no chance of getting lost in Vancouver because the 99 randomly changed streets and had a tiny, tiny sign saying this.
sat in the queue
That's what happens when you have a good border patrol! Lulzzzz! That border crossing had us questioning whether to just stay in Bellingham next time. On the way back from Whistler, we sat in the queue for 2 hours. And, another car of folks got less lucky with line choice and it took them 3 hours just get through the border check point.
No more toll on the Port Mann, our current socialist/communist government in BC cancelled the tolls. So you guys save a couple bucks.Cross at the truck crossing instead of at Peace Arch.
