next summer, 2005..is whistler open daily or just weekends?

i was reading whistlers homepage and there was this:

"Whistler Mountain Bike Park Opening Day 2005

The Bike Park will open weekends only, weather and operating conditions dependant. "

my and my friend trip is gonna crash if whistler is open only in weekends!

somebody gotta know that is that right.

our plan is that we are coming to vancouver 6 of june... 1week riding local shores and trails, yes would be cool to get someone local to guide us. then 2weeks in whistler and back to vancover to last week... :heart:

I am assuming the first few weeks may be weekends only, until the skiing stops and they get enough bike trails open and people riding them to permit being open all week.

You could have a free place to crash here in Bellingham at my place. Id be happy to show you all around whistler and the shore. We have some pretty good trails here in Bellingham as well.

That's because there will still be some snow on the upper trails etc. in June.
Don't forget we talking about a mountain with significant elevation !
They are still skiing on the upper glacier well into June!

Best not to go before July or at least end of June.

You could have a free place to crash here in Bellingham at my place. Id be happy to show you all around whistler and the shore. We have some pretty good trails here in Bellingham as well.

Erm, maybe not, Bellingham is in Ontario right? It would be nice to know about Whistler, when it'i open and so on. Cause if it's open only weekends we have to postpone our trip to July. And here in Finland almost every downhill races are in July so...

Bellngham is (the one he is talking about) is in Washington State. In fact, VERY close to the border haha

Heik up there has it right. Thats half the reason, the other half, it isn't busy enough early season to warrant a full opening so they leave it for weekends

I was looking forward to winter, until I realized I have no money for a pass, so therefore I am just gonna get quality days in, and focus on biking come the new year!
