My boys are only 8 and 6 so they wouldn't really grasp the significance of it. More than likely just scare them. I'm sure Mr Plod is keeping a close eye on him. He has been living in the general area for a while (nearby towns) and plus who knows how many sickos there are out there that I don't know about. Not gonna lose any sleep about it, was just a very high profile murder case here.
