The Double C Bar Ranch (my parents house when i was in HS) used to be on a gravel road.

I have either lived in the middle of the city or the middle of the boonies. I love them both, but i am getting tired if the city life...or maybe just this city.

I used to live on a dirt road - about 12 miles from a paved road growing up. We were about 300 miles away from the nearest town over 100,000 peeps.

I moved to the big city when I was 18.

I have a gravel driveway does that count?

My parents driveway is 1/2 mile long and straight up a mountain, all gravel, and the road they live on is chip and tar. It sucks ass when you get a t-storm and all the gravel washes down the hill.

I did growing up, not quite a mile. Lived on a small farm at the end of it. Driving a tractor at 12 and a car sideways at 14. All 30 miles south of DC.

One of the home owners along the road (4 houses) had it paved about 2 years ago. It just doesn't feel the same when I go home to visit.

I got to wondering as I pulled out of my driveway onto the gravel road on the way to work this morning.

How many other :monkey:s live on an unpaved road?

Pulling out in your horse & buggy? Did you get running water wet or still having to go out to the well with a bucket?:D

Every once in a while some guys from discovery channel come by and take a few of us away to film for shows on the ice age.

I live on a dead end dirt road.
