A lot of people will for sure say cedric which is valid but what about Aaron chase or barrecloth. Does Chase ride DH i thought i saw somone riding a SOBE gemini in earthed that looked like him? Is barrecloth any good at DH? I know cedric can 4x, DH and freeride but does he do any urban or DJing? Rennie is also an awsome jumper but he doestn freeride. Also is straight up there?

tell me what you think

As far as mountain bike riding in this day and age, I would have to say that it is easily Cedric.

Although, I would think that if Tomac were in his prime right now, he could give him a good run for his money.

I think that I would be hard pressed to find two other guys who can rip and win in any mountain bike discipline. Hell, Tomac could even win in XC as well.

What about Mark Weir? Doesn't he race pro XC,STXC and DH? I don't know anything about him, but I'd call that pretty versatile.

shaums march or kirt voreis. they race, they kill the dirt jumps, they kill the urban and they aint afraid to go big either. cedric is a good racer and sure he one the red bull but he does not do any street at all. aaron chase would also be a good choice as well as kyle straight they kill everything. i think given thge current trends in riding that urban and dirt jumping would hve to be included in the equation unless you were asking who the most well rounded racer is. then it would still be somebody other than tomac or cedric

Yea, Chase does race DH, or he used to. What part in earthed did you see him? I may have to watch it for the 7th time since I got it Friday.

Its right in the world chamopinship part I beleive. SOMeone on the sobe gemini is storming through that REALLY loose section of dirt where every ate it he almost loses it but stilll looks fast. I think its kaprun but im not certain....

the place where everyone falls on the side barriers and stuff.

I remember seeing some of Cedric's dj'ing (can't remember where though) and while he wasn't pulling backflips he was doing damn well.

In his prime Tomac. He even made a mark in the roadie world as a pro. How ever the question was is and I would have to give the nod to Cedric currently. For the ladies I would have to say past/present goes to AC or maybe Marla Streb.

NORCAL is the hizzle
C'mon, from ballooner to pit bike the guy rips it up. Now that's versatile.

Seriously, Cedric is the most versatile pro right now. If there was a comp that combined all of xc, dh, ds, mx, dj, freeride, and street comps (to me "pro" means competition of some kind), Cedric wouldn't win 'em all but he would take the overall. He can do flips, suicide no-handers, etc. and would do fine in a dj or street comp, especially compared to other pros going for the overall (as opposed to the specialists). He is one fit mofo so he'd do better than a lot of gravity riders in the xc. And he consistently wins or places high in everything else, so he gets the award...but wait, none of us need to inflate his ego any more, he's already got looks, money, girls, free bikes and travel...so scratch all that, like I said I'm voting for Sanjay!

I swear we just had this discussion....

Either way, it's hands down Tomac....and you're *()*(#@ retarded if you think anything else. I guess some people just have no respect for the amount of talent it takes to race in Europe (roadie) kill the XC scene and still dominate DH stuff...maybe if you tried all three you'de agree...but that is UNREAL

Robin Baloochi rides for Sobe/Cannondale, it's probably him.

Cedric is the most versatile IMO. He goes to World Cup DHs, wins, or at least gets on the podium. He goes to World Cup 4Xs, wins, or gets on the podium. He goes to Redbull Rampage, wins. He is a good DJer, but he doesn't have a huge trick book. He can run with the freeriders, and be one of the smoothest in the group, but he isn't a big hucker.

i just watched the earthed dvd, its actually the mt snow national...u r talking about the part where u only see the back of the sobe rider riding away from u and he goes sideways and straightens out in the mud? looked like chase to me...chase wore a black and green helmet, baloochi wore a mostly green one this past year if i remember correctly. but ya that was chase i believe. almost positive of it.

Rennie gets my vote but I'm biased ;) World Cup DH champion, kills it at dirt jumps and skateparks and just hit a 70ft gap jump in Western Australia with a moto tow-in as part of the Red Bull Freight Train tour (which I think is classed as 'freeriding' but don't tell him that). Looking forward to seeing some footage of that shiat for sure...

very much agreed but my vote still goes to cedric and i am a HUGE fan of chase, its just that he is very focused on the street/dirt scene right now...

Currently I would vote for cedric since he is in the scene, but if we are talking about the most versatile EVER, it would have to be tomac. I really liked rockwell too...

i agree with just about everyone who has posted so far: cedric, or tomac for the all time. tomac even did well in the really old races that had observed trials as one of the events. plus anyone who can run a tioga disc wheel and drop bars and still beat down the competition gets extra props from me
