That is a crazy thread. I sort of enjoyed and it also sorta made me cringe...
It became a sport after a while....

I just wanted the kids to have a cool looking helmet....

others didn't want them to break their necks....selfish bastards.

;) Rhino "I still think it is a cool Helmet" from WA

Now if I can just stop making fun of stealthy bikes long enough to buy one and not be mocked.

I promise I won't mock you. Black bikes are cool. Actually any dark coloured bike with no stickers looks pretty cool. Except, y'know, cheap ones...

Eh, the black bike thing is pretty over done, but I really liked that helmet. *shrug*

To each their own I guess. I had a GT STS that was mostly black and red and that was pretty cool. I must be the only guy around who likes stickers (the bike manufacturer stickers) on the bikes.

I don't need to look hard core, just color coordinated :D

The shoes match the pants, match the jersey, match the gloves, match the helmet. :D

But do the cuffs match the collar, if you know what I mean...?

He's just mad that his matching clothes have an unacceptable coefficient of friction.

i've seen this guy ride a trail without a helmet. he must not have been worried about the friction of his hair. i've heard static electricity can cause your head to stick to dirt possibly causing your head to twist completely around.

Rhino said “it’s not slippery but not so not slippery that it will rip your head off when you fall”

Other people said “it will rip your head off due to it’s not slippery enoughness”

Rhino said “will not”

Other people said “will too”

its 4 pages of the slippery debate!??!? i saw the beginning of that, but couldnt imagine THAT is what went on for pages. you guys better start applying axle grease to any exposed skin on your rides. I think skin could have similar grippyness to that helmet, and you are likley to get an arm or leg ripped off. For that matter, this baggy shorts fad? those could get snagged on something, and forget atomic wedgies, thall give you a neutron star wedgie. and the little rubber pads on the braking fingers of your gloves could cause you to loose your 2 most inportant fingers.

One time  Damn it! one time! :)

I can't deny the fact I did pedal into S SeaTac without a helmet. It wasn't like I looked at my helmet and said "like a cool guy would wear something like this....I am leaving it here." :)

I am just that hard core....oh and my ears will cause my neck to snap before my hair does ....geesh. Nice "E-guess" (that really pissed them off.:D)

The private who works in my armory has a sister in a coma from a bike accident yesterday, helmetless, on a paved bike path. Jogger apparently cut her off, she flipped OTB, down an embankment, fractured skull and much internal bleeding in the head. Trying to get him home right now, basically to watch her die or become severly handicapped.

I know you're joking, but man, this sucks.
