This was a few years ago. They posted a pic of their 40 with the Charger damper installed. Anyone remember?

Would be easy just get a top cap that threads into fox 40 or modify one .. There's more than enough shaft if it needs to back off for a foot nut ..
If you can machine a top cap like Craig at Avy and an adapter for a foot nut , seal and nut..

The Fox 40 doesn't have better small bump sensitivity, larger stanchions make for more friction (static and dynamic) plus Fox have a bit of a reputation for making sticky forks.
