I am still working on it....
You need qualifiers to define your attributes...
you + me = us
There's like a 10% chance I'll go this year, just like every year. If neither of us have knee surgery, and we don't have any more kids (knock on vasectomy), there's a chance.
@crombie1 and I were talking this past Fall about possibly trying to go to NEMBAfest. However, it would depend on what/when is being planned for Monkeyfest this year too.
Monkey fest should be at Ontario County Park this year. Its their turn to come here.... I would miss the playhouse however...
i was considering it depending if my knee decides to play along nicely
Brenda and I have our passes ordered.
Wife and I booked a cabin the day after least year's 'Fest. But now it's looking like we're going to Alaska for two weeks instead. DINK problems.
You will have to cancel your trip.
We have talked about bringing the girls this year....will need to make a decision soon. What's the deal with volunteers JBP?
NEMBA looks for volunteers - most of it is during the event, and I think there's some sort of entry discount - @BadDNA could provide more info. What I have been doing is showing up a few days early and doing grunt work with the trail crew and with NEMBA, but I still pay full freight for admission, just 'cause.
I'm planning to get there roughly Wednesday the 20th. If anyone else wants to join early setup, tell me and I'll try to coordinate with NEMBA and KT crews.
@TreeSaw, email or call me if more questions or ideas!
Volunteers in past years have been given a day of admission for each 2 hour shift that they work. I assume they will continue this arrangement again. Brenda and I have chosen to not volunteer up front this year for a couple of reasons. We'll probably still pitch in for a while if needed, but we don't want to be committed to a shift which may mean missing out on a ride with friends.
Me wife and Son.
We have that cabin now , still have 1 bedroom and 1 futton open
Trip is booked.
so he can run instead of ride! blasphemy !
The purpose of the trip is to visit family, but I'm running the Anchorage Marathon because it is there. How convenient!
Abandoning the RM family to go hang out with people you share biology with. Boooooo....
I think we are out....Syd has Gymnastics Nationals in Toledo Ohio the next week and it's not really in the budget
Good luck to Syd!
Back to a maybe...kids have early dismissal on Friday (10:30ish) and neither of us have work. If ya’all can save us a space by you, we might make it work. Kids want to go...
I'll stake out some space. How big is your rig, any slide-outs?
No slides...18.4 foot rig plus truck. Thanks!!!
I'm confirmed Wed through Sunday, Norie too. Happy to help with set up and such on Wed afternoon and Thursday.
Hope you make it TreeSaw! Would be fun to have the girls join us.
I wouldn't miss Nembafest for the world. Already registered.
I am not a Nemba Member. I would like to just pay and go.... I will bring plenty of sausage..
That's how it works. Hope to see you there.
Will be there, probably riding Victory Hill that Friday.
Never been to Victory. Might like to join you.
Neither have I but anytime I go to Burke people suggest going to Victory as well. But that would be great to meet up and get a ride in before the fest.
You can ask any of the staff or people setting up and they'll tell you where to find me...
So, slacker me hasn't registered....are you all camping in the "Expo side" or "quiet camping"?
I got to Lyndon about eleven am, reported for work half an hour later, finished up about half past seven. Supposed to resume about six am. Working on a Foley Brothers Brewing Pieces of Eight IIPA.
Started our trip up, stopped in New london,NH to see the in-laws , rode Boston Lot in Lebanon , NH , tommorow hitting millstone before arriving at KT
Enjoy! We will miss you this year (just too many end of the year activities for the girls).
By late Saturday afternoon I wound up pretty soggy with sore legs and more rain coming, so got in the van and hauled the pod home. Had a good time.
Hey john is this your Van and RPod? I know the guy in the truck camper with the side awning to the right
