it just bugs me for some reason. I mean every dirt jump spot i go to is a big open area full of jumps. Why cant people just say " i was at the swannanoa dirt jumps" instead " i was at the swannanoa trails" cause then i think "hmmm there are no trails in swannanoa, only a big open lot full of dirt jumps."

it comes from, I'm gussing, dirt piles that started in the woods. in the woods, you have trails between the trees.

I call them dirt piles, dirt mounds or whatever. usually I never call them trails, unless they are in the woods.
