well I used to smoke a lot (for about 10 years) back in the days in Europe, lots of hash and weed. Since I came to the Land of Hydro, I kinda slow down for some reason then now it's one spliff every 3 months.

I don't think pot is addictive but I do think that getting high could be, cuz it's damn good and one of the best feeling I ever felt (along with sex and riding).
Ever wander in the toilet paper section of a supermarket, and think about the packaging colors and how the marketing dept did a good job for half-an-hour? (well, dont try this at home kids ). I know it sounds retarded but it was fun.

In todays society where your own vital space is reduced day after day and there's a lot of stress on your shoulder at school, at work, at home, I don't see why an amazingly high number of peeps are allowed to get drunk (and able to get their "drug" in every street), and pot smokers should be outlawed.
If you like to smoke pot, you should be able to do so without any legal consequences.

Don't worry I drink too...


ps: I do think that pot should be illegal under the age of 18 but it's my own opinion.

I'm with you there. i only smoke and ride XC cause i can get into a zone and just pedal. Trying to ride ladders and drops is hard enough without it.

I remember I did the pot once and I blacked out and I think I might have even had sex with a mailbox, Im not sure. Still to this day I get all anxious when I get my mail ANyway, the next day I craved the pot so bad that I had to tie myself down to stop myself from doing it again... the cold sweats and puking on myself was enough for me to hate hard drugs like pot forever, now I just stick to clean legal substances like tobacco and alcohol.

Pot smoke is a carcinogen. However, most people smoke much smaller amounts of grass... that is unless they use their Sublime song role models and smoke 10 joints a day like a moron. Thats just as bad as smoking a pack a day.

If you have to smoke that much grass to get high then you need to find a new hook up (reall grass will stick to the wall).

I don't know what kind of pot you were smoking but it had to have something in it. I smoked in college. I guess because it was there, and I liked the feeling. Although, it never gave me what it gave you. I smoked good sh!t too. I never liked joints. When you have a good pipe why roll? Anyway, I smoked for about a year, and just quit for some reason. I guess it was because some of my friends wanted to try something harder. I wasn't into that so I quit all together. I think that is the one thing it has the capability of doing. Making you want to try something harder. Of course it doesn't make everyone, because I didn't. I smoke cigs. a few years before, and probably 5 year later. I eventually stopped those too. I think they are the most addictive than any alcohol. I'm now 31, married, successful, two kids, and I don't think the pot turned me into a loser. I probably have a little lung damage though.

Yeah, I'm luckt to have it... Ive actually been quite lucky for several years now when it comes to KB.

As for flavor... theres a friend of mine gets a strain he calls 'Xmas Tree', he gets it at Xmas time every year taste like a freshly cut pine tree, pretty neat-o.

Never had bubblegum... has slight bubblegum flavor I assume?

I think it's funny how almost all these threads get derailed into something else...the orignal post asked why people smoke weed knowing it can be harmful...and instead of addressing the question...folks get into comparisons with alcohol and other drugs.....then you have the marajuana users who start taking shots at a person just asking a simple question...why is it so hard to stay on topic in here?

BTW I think people who need to go outside themselves to feel good or find hapiness should really think about WHY they truely smoke weed...but then again that's JMO.

Hey kid. Stay away from alcohol. Way more dangerous than pot. I can say this. I've had days and nights where I was driving home high or stoned, depends on the quality, and had no problem getting home. Then there's those nights that i'd been drinking and could'nt even get my keys in the lock of the car door. Just stay on your bike.

Well, I must say my idea of a "sack" is usually around a half-eighth to an eighth, I suppose I should buy in higher quantities but whatever.

Even that is pretty core... I get mine in 7-8 gram chunks, usually lasts me over 2 weeks. I could probably buckle down and puff the whole thing away in a week but, that would be a real feat. A dab will do ya, any more is just building tolerance to ridiculous levels and ends up just being wastefull IMHO. If its really good chit I tend to pack 1 good sized chillum in the AM and it will last me till later that night (little puffy on the way to work, little puffy after lunch, little puffy on the way home, finish her off when I get home).

If your gonna smoke dope I would wait until your in college or trade school or what ever... (college would be the place to party, get away from home, chase girls, and generally expand your view of life)... I started getting high when I was 13 and for me I really liked being high... for that mattter I discovered that I like being drunk... when I was 18 I got into psychedelics then later had to see what hard drugs were like (coke, crack, crank, MDA, opioum, heroin, and some benozodiazapenes as in Valium and others that I can't remember)...
I'm not the type to tell people what what do w/there lives but I just want to say that I believe starting getting loaded so young really effected my life... IF THE STARTER OF THIS THREAD IS FOR REAL I just want him to know that a life of starting to get loaded really young can lead you down the wrong path... I found out later that there is allot of cognitive developement that takes place in the human brain in the teen years...
Also if you like to get high I hope that either you do it infrequently, wait until your out of high school, or just get your kicks else where... like through riding, right?...
Seriously I started getting loaded when I was 13 ended when I was 23... I worked on Fishing Boats in the Berring Sea until I transfered to a College at 27 and didn't graduate until I was 30 or 31... I say that because working on fishing boats is for people that for one reason or another can't or won't fit into society, and it's an easy way to get killed...
I didn't get into a carrer job until 3 1/2 years ago... that's when I could afford to get back into biking, snowboarding, and other fun stuff... If this post is for real I just hope you don't have to go through all I went through because I started getting faded in Middle School...
Anyway got to load up my gear and head out to the trails... I've learned in my 35yrs of life that being true to myself is where it's at and life is too short, so have a good time while your here and try and stay as long as you can... gotta ride... godspeed.
