Well, what an excellent week off from the casino. Started easily enough, doing small errands around the house. Left Saturday for San Fran, stayed at the Chelsea Inn on Lombard St., walked around Chestnut and Union, had pizza/drinks, and generally a great night. Sunday was off to the Cow Palace to see the Golden Gate Kennel Club Dog Show (the last big one before Westminster), and drooled over some of the breeds. Watched the judging for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (our favorites), and got loads of free samples for ours. While driving back along the Embarcadero, we saw 2 naked guys walking along (apparently, it's ok/legal to be naked in public in SF). Wife was actually speechless. Another night at Chelsea, and off to Pacific Grove on Monday. Sunset Inn on Asilomar is our lodging of choice. Beautiful sunset on our balcony, peaceful sleep, and loads of sightseeing/shopping on Tuesday. Wednesday we're up and do our bike ride from PG to Monterey, and stop and see an elephant seal on the sand in one of the coves. Thing was huge!!! Harbor seals, otters, and while riding back, a monarch butterfly floats over-head, so I know Alaina is giving our trip her kiss of approval. Bummer that I don't know directions as well as I thought, as we made a freeway turn too early and went through SF during rush hour on trip home. At least we got home safely. Today, it's back to work. I wonder what I missed.....

Pics from photobucket to follow once downloaded.....

My wife and I were out in Pacific Grove & Monterrey last March to visit my buddy. He was living within walking distance of Cannery Row. He was living close enough to the ocean that you could hear the harbor seals making noise at night time. Definitely a cool place to visit on a vacation.

Front Range, dude...
Yin and Yang...if you didnt have work, you wouldnt treasure vacation. I have been off for the past 2 weeks also...goofed off, rebuilt the Moots, went skiing and grew my beard and hair...buzzed it all back off today in preparation for returning to work Monday...what a drag.
