Why dont you guys get flats?

I (obviously) dont ride trials, but heres a question:

I see trials riders with what looks like low psi, hitting hard on one wheel on all sorts of corners, edges, and rocks. Why no flats?

Also, are the holes in the rims to reduce weight?

Headed to the lift...
At first we get a million flats. As you progress you learn to not land hard enough to pinch flat. I can't tell you haw many times I have landed a gap and felt the rim hit.

Yep, the holes are to reduce the weight. It helps for traction to have a wide rim but you do not always need the strength.
