I'm guessing because there have been more reported NSFW posts out of that thread than any other thread on this board, and someone was sick of seeing them and deleting them.

I created the NSFW tag specifically to avoid this problem, but people are too lazy to use it so there you go.

can we get a button for it? having the tags exist, but most people are too lazy to use it unless there's a button.

also, shame on people for reporting that thread. that's the kind of thread you enter on its own terms

A NSFW button would be awesome. It took my dumb azz forever to realize I had to put the put them in my self. Most of us are lazy SOB's too anyway

no.

A) there are no "NSFW threads" on this forum. I tried before, the thread got deleted.

B) therefore any thread is fair game for surfing at work. The NSFW tags work very well, and are easily avoided should one be browsing at work.

I opened the thread today at work, and BAM, there were some boobs....re-posted and re-posted and re-posted. If I want pr0n, there's the rest of the internets for it.

I'm with sandwich on this one. It's fun to see the random pics, but boosies are just not appropriate for a non-adult site. Especially a site that has a known, large at work contingency.
Who posted then, so we can negative rep into oblivion.

I don't get this argument at all. Your cruising teh :monkey: at work and your pissed about accidental (fully clothed) boobage? Because the fact that your fvcking off on a "Mt. Bike" website while on the clock isn't going to get you fired but fvcking off on a "Mt. Bike" website that has a boob image is going to get you fired?

*edit. Just to be clear I posted none of the offending images.

you both have been around here long enough to know there might be borderline questionable material in that thread.
sure, and the forum rules are the forum rules....i expect people to abide by them. Questionable and pornographic are not the same....suggested nudity or sexuality, OK, asses jiggling while firing machine guns...not OK....just like nipples pointing out behind a poorly knit sweater. The frigging tags are there, fap all you want behind them, just don't make me stop surfing ridemonkey at work because you need to see a boob now and then.

You've also been here long enough that people will take a stand on things that don't really bother them for opportunity to feel that they are technically correct. (which is the best kind of correct BTW)

Enough with the arguments.

This is and always has been a safe for work messageboard. Period.

Let people worry about their own internet usage and whether it is appropriate for their jobs. All I am demanding is that people be able to make an informed choice, and clicking a button labeled "NSFW" allows that.

Frankly, If the thread degenerates into a bunch of NSFW-tagged pictures, it's going to get re-locked and/or deleted anyway. It's the random picture thread. Not the random boobie thread. If I want random boobies, Google has a very nice product called the Google Image Search.

I've never once accessed RM from work - I'm employed to be productive. That's how I make the big bucks, my ability to prioritized is amazing. :)
Sounds like you have a steady work flow. Some of us have ebbs and flows... I'l have more than I know how I can accomplish within deadlines, then nothing to do for a few hours.

and you've been here long enough I'll take up any side of an argument just for the sake of continuing the argument

This is how my job works.
Being at the bottom of the work chain, the amount of work I have is directly influenced by whether the collectors feel like doing anything that day. Some days I am completely buried, others, like this week so far, its completely dead with nothing in my inbox.

I rarely ever leave without my desk being empty.

Exactly. I normally have an overwhelming load to handle or nothing. I am at a nothing point right now... Hence the excessive quantity of posts.

Still - people apparently went in that thread to watch " random" things. Apparently they like it - why close it.

Also I never understood the nsfw anyway. I know you have slower days at work but getting cought on a forum is bad no matter what you are looking at. The point is - you are wasting time and now working while the company pays you for it? Does everyone here must do it with their boss on their lap?

Where else am I supposed to post pictures of my ass now? Do you have any idea how hard it was to take those? Weren't they amazing? I suppose they were NSFW but I always count on others to assess those things as my judgement is rather suspect for the most part...
