hello,

as above, i need to replace the lower crown on my dc shivers, marzocchi are quite expensive for this part,
but fox sell their crowns & steerer's for considerably less.

the question i would like some help with is, as the shiver & the fox 40 are both triple clamp forks with 40mm upper legs
would the fox crowns work on the shivers?

pretty sure the spacing of the holes for the stanchions in relation to the steerer tube is wider on the 40 compared to the shiver; that is, it would space the fork legs too far apart (and you wouldn't be able to get the axle all the way inserted).

thanks, that was another thing i forgot to check... i'll have to keep looking out for a second hand shiver crown.
