tl;dr version - the old owner (whose name shall not be mentioned) was kind of a shitheel. the setup was that diablo was its own business entity, and they leased mountain / lift access from mt creek. for a bunch of reasons, when diablo's lease was up it wasn't renewed. bike operations are now handled by mt creek itself, and they even hired on a portion of the original diablo build crew.
