I am heading to Knoxville to visit a friend sometime this summer and wanna hit up windrock a few times during the week. I don't know much about it. Is it hard to pedal to the top or what? Lift? Shuttle? I don't know any of the riders out there so i would like to hook up with a few locals when i do go.

I can answer a few of your questions: The trails are not lift assisted. Your best bet is to meet up with the Locals and shuttle runs with them. Its not recommened to pedal to the top. Especially on a DH bike.

Get hooked up with spoke80 or profro,they r good peeps.You definately need a shuttle.You will love Windrock,those guys have put a ton of man hours in out there and it shows.

I'll send you a PM with my number. But we would love to have ya. The shuttle road is hit or miss now with the repaving project, but it should be done mid summer....maybe

Anyway, you will definately need a shuttle. You may get one push to the top, then you won't want to do it again. Has anyone out there accomplished the push to the top twice?

ONE push/bog pedal to the top of WINDROCK is a workout no doubt....

Bring goggles---------get's dusty there often shuttling !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
