Early to bed, early to rise. Feelin' good. Drinking (much) less is helping my insomnia bigly.
Coffee is delicious. Skiing pow is delicious. I declare this delicious Saturday.

Howdy all. Working 7-5 both days this weekend means my bike commute is entirely with lights lit. Got to pay the bills somehow.

Went to see a show, last night. Skeletal Remains was an okay opener. HEALTH was entertaining, though not my thing, and clearly performing a light show with backing tracks while holding instruments. Deafheaven headlined and was pretty impressive. They had Mike Sullivan of Russian Circles filling in on bass duties. I didn't know them at all, but I liked it.

On my way to Redding CA to replace a computer. Offering a humble prayer to the overtime gods, that they may provide, without abusing.

@Nick how was the I-70 traffic? Do you or @SkaredShtles or @stoney carry chains? Is it ever the case that non-CMV chain laws are invoked?
In my experience, if it's come to chains, the only direction you should be traveling is back home.

What it do! I ran a 10K race this morning. 41:45 (6:46 pace), good for 11th place overall and I won my age group (second race in a row for that). A good effort but I have "trained through" my last few races, which means no rest going into them, as I've had hard workouts all week. That makes it hard to run your best. Typically you want to go easy 3-4 days leading into these shorter races. But whatever...good result nonetheless.

In hell. Welcome!
Brilliant riding today on frozen hero dirt. 8/10, I would bang again. If only my toes and fingers did not turn into icicles after 1hr on the trails.

No. I have snows on awd. If I can't make it with that, I'm not going out.
I'm not concerned so much with the "making it" bit but as the "potential $130 ticket" bit. But if that never happens then I'm cool with not buying some weird giant truck-chain for my 32" Nokians or 33" BFGs.

44miles, 4600ft vert on roads and dirt. The loop started at home, ended near the top of Squaw Mountain. 2000ft descent was cold on the face.

Took my oldest dh skiing for the first time this season. It was an unmitigated success. He loved it. I'll be buying him skis tomorrow, and we'll all be heading out as a family. I've been waiting for this day for years.
