I've got $200 worth of return credit at REI so I'm going to buy a good lighting system.
Right now I'm planning on getting the Cygolite LED Li-Ion

Anybody have any good or bad experiences with Cygolites? I have an old vista lite which I wasn't pleased with (very unreliable) and I can't afford a Nite-Rider.

Any other light I'm overlooking? I'm very attrated to the LED/Li-Ion combo cause it's light, LEDs are bright like HIDs and they're very effecient. Battery life is also awesome for the given battery size.

Thanks for any help.

Get a NiteRider classic. It'll only last for a couple of years of regular use, but you can have confidence in it. I just spent waaay too much money on a Night Rider Moab, and I still like my old classic way more. On the Moab, the blueish tint to the HID glare gets annoying, the beam is a pretty bad shape for our fast but tight trails, and bumps/rocks/undulations shake the smaller beam waaaay more than with the Classic, making it hard to tell what things are in front of you.

Trust me, you don't want a cheap, knock-off light, having a crappy light that cuts out and is hard to find replacement parts for just plain sucks.

Not sure if REI has them or not, but I have a Light and Motion Solo (13watt halogen) that I've been really happy with. Solid light, bright enough, very lite... I'm very happy with it for the money.
