For what kind of riding and temps? Do you need aggressive abrasion resistant?

Thanks for the trouser help, lol. Looking for something abrasion resistant and riding single digits up to freezing. So far; Fox $200, Pearlzumi $130.00 and may try some luck on 4ucycling pants on amazon for $30.00, might give them a go.

What size pants do you wear? I have 3-4 pairs of brand new moto pants. They work awesome for winter with a base layer. message me if interested.

Typically we just use XC ski pants here in AK, easily down to single digits. When it gets colder than that I'll boost the heat with a light outer shell like some nylon running pants or something. At higher speeds some 8 panel bike shorts underneath to keep your bits warm. You generally want breathability and front-panel wind resistance. Pockets are nice. Some softshell backcountry ski pants are nice too, the pockets can be nice to have for winter riding. Snow-gaiters can help boost the heat on your lower leg and also keep your pants from catching on chains or anything else. No need for waterproof in those temps, it doesn't do anything but screw up your ability to expel sweat and moisture. I'd say a good 50-60% of the riders here all use the exact same Craft XC ski pant model, then there's a significant number of people using different brands/types of the same, then a few (10-20%) that kind of don't know what to wear where it's all sorts of off-the-wall stuff from downhill ski pants (ugg) to jeans.

I've done the moto pant thing in the winter back the day for the teens temps, mobility and breathability are pretty poor though, but tear resistance is good obviously. Works well for just going downhill, it's what I wear in our winter downhill races.

I have been a soccer player all my life and have a few pairs of 'warmup' pants I use for riding. Grew up in northwest Montana so we had some days were you ended up playing in them vs shorts. They are moderately abrasion resistant as most are designed to play in so slides and mobility are part of the design goals. I have found them great for winter riding, I will wear some tights under them if it gets really cold (single digits F and colder) and the ankles are all tapered so they won't get caught in your drivetrain. You can wear them over shorts no problem and cost anywhere from 20-80 bucks, depending on site you use and features. Just make sure you look for cold weather ones as they are thicker and more wind resistant. A quick google search yielded a couple examples:

just picked up a pair of these last weekend, haven't had a chance to ride in them yet. Pricey, but the people i've talked to that own them can't recommend them enough. water resistant, properly cut for mtb. while not as expensive as the POC, they are still pricey @ $125. You'll probably want to size up. Per their size chart I was a large (typically wear a 36" pant) but wound up needing the XL because the waist was too tight.

This is easily one of the dumbest products on the market! what's next, goretex sandals? short sleeved space suits? WTF.
are those riding shorts!? They look like warm-up shorts for ski racers to wear over their skin suits as they get ready for their race run...

Avalanche Danger & Pit Zips?
For some reason, the brand includes a RECCO avalanche rescue reflector. This is a small unit sewn in that allows rescuers with a radio detector device to find victims buried in an avalanche. (I guess some riders may take the kit into true alpine conditions, but it struck as superfluous to us.)
So IF you happen to be cycling at a ski resort that has a helicopter in the air with the Recco system when you trigger an avalanche by riding on a packed path, they can find your body, rather than wait until spring thaw...It's beautiful when you think about it. Lets put some totally nonfunctional ridiculous crap in there that no one needs and then lets charge a lot of money for it.

I like sweatpants for winter riding, don't have to change if I want to hit up the strip on the way home.

I actually see a lot of young teenish kids use these pants in the summer for BMX racing.

you have winter in Israel?! (no irony, honest question). I know there's "mounts" and hills and stuff, but didn't think there can be snow and ice. who knew.
There is a ski resort if I remember correctly.
