Im drunk and I just got a wireless charger for my phone.

And I just had to share this wonderful experience because it has improved my quality of life by about a zillion.

I just put my phone on my night stand every night without plugging it in, and in the morning I just pick it up.

Ive had one for more than a year. Like you said it changed my life. No more of that shit when the cord or phone wears out and you gotta have it sit just right so it charges.

I had a problem with my Battery. I took my phone to the Apple store. They fixed it by giving me a new phone. New phone came with a new plug and a Cable. So I had 2 of each. When my brother comes over he always plugs in his phone. My old Cable was not charging the new phone. I put it in the tool drawer in the kitchen. My brother brought over his Cable. I noticed there were 2 again. Thinking it was the old one I put it in the drawer. Couple of days go by. Another cable appears. I asked my Brother about it. He gives me the I can't believe I am related to you look. I knew what day it was though.

I got a wireless charger. It made about 3 seconds of my life marginally easier each day.

What am I doing wrong?

Actually. what the fuck are you people doing that whether or not you have to plug in a phone has any affect on your quality of life?

You’ve hit the point of diminishing returns.

I got my eye on one you can build into any wooden countertop mounting under the countertop hidden away. I am in the process of getting a new bedside table and induction charger is a must.

I try to minimize the decisions/actions I have to make everyday to the bare minimum.

I have found that after 20-25 decision/actions, the quality of them declines. I try to save those 20-25 for where it matters the most financially.

Remembering to plug the phones consumes one of those decisions/actions.

Internet porn, duh man. Can't have your battery die mid stroke. The job has to get done.

So poking around, My Anker "wireless" (it still needs to be plugged in, d'oh... charger, once the S9's fully charged, sits there and uses two to three times the one watt that the wired charger uses under the same circumstances. Not a lot of power still, but all of those bricks we have plugged in here and there can add up to something reasonably substantial...

Is the reason I'm not in any rush to get one, inefficient while charging compared to the brick with cable.

I only charge to 80%. I usually don't let the charge get below 30% (unless I don't want to interrupt a.. uhh.. session). The internet has convinced me this is better for my phone's battery. the wireless chargers make this easier.

Ruth had a wireless charger. she stopped using it when it became too much of a hassle due to the magnets we use for the hands free dash mounts interfered with the charging. My Motorolla Z4 uses the C type cable and so far the only cable I have bought for it has worked perfectly for 7 months. Our phone do not come into the bedroom with us they get charged in another room. Work texts and notifications come in at all hours and we don't want the annoyance.

I have an Anker wireless charging dock on my bedside table. I also bought a few wireless charging pads that I stashed at work, at the computers I typically use.

They are nice, I guess, especially the ones at work. They make my life approximately 0.001% better, noting that covering up the blue light that appears on the dock when I set the phone down to charge is nearly equivalent an inconvenience to finding the port and plugging it in.

My wife just bought 5 of them on Amazon and placed them throughout the house. The days of missing cords when I need to charge my phone are done! Damn kids and their friends were always taking the cords and like usual, failed to put them back to where they found them.
