so my male co-worker's got the day off and the boss put one of the women designers in my office. She's yapping away about being seperated from the female sales rep cuz they chat too much. I'm thinking, "I can tell, could ya, uhh, shut up?"

So I left my office to go use the computer in the sales room -- has the software I need for a quick project -- and the female sales rep starts chatting with me. Eventually, I just left.

My entire department, except for my boss, is composed of women.

They usually have to say my name loudly once or twice to get my attention because otherwise I just block out the inane chatter...

When I worked in the billing office of a doctors office there was a woman like that she wouldn't stop talking and sometimes the things were so irelivant that it was extremly mind blowing.

You have to learn to tune them out and insert an "Uh-Huh", and "Mmmmmm..." in the right place. It has kept my GF and I together. And she can talk. Seriously, she went to Ireland and kissed the blarney stone and RECHARGED the dang stone. Even the blarney stone said that she talks too much. :)

You should've taken 'em both in the copy room and shagged 'em.

:stupid:

But it's hard to do when they're talking directly to/at you.

My department is seven women and me (no they are not hot). They could be having a loud conversation right outside my cube and they have to say my name several times to get my attention. I even surprise myself with my ability to block them out. :D It's kind of like any background noise..after a while, you just get used to it and no longer hear it. :)

Hahahaha... It's funny, I'm usually pretty alert and notice small sounds.. I always turn around when I hear someone walking into the department. But the female chatter that happens in here, I almost don't even hear it anymore.

It's completely non-stop in here... There's only 7 of us in this department, and one doesn't participate in the conversation, so only 5 of the women talk - I can't imagine what it's like down in customer service where there's about 30 women and 5 guys.

Megan calls me a babe.
Women have to talk to eachother to solve problems. Men can do it on there own. So that's why. It's genetic.

The difference between a chickenrun and room full of women, is next to nothing.

Yeah, but she is the awsomest chick on the planet.

No cold sores. They run in fear of her awsomenes. Either that or the cold sores don't want to have to hear her talk all the time.

P.S. Don't say mean things about the GF or I will kick you in the nuts.

when I use to have my cubicle at the bank the girl behind me was always late but as soon as she would come in... OH BOY!!!

And blah last night blah you know blah this morning (loud and so annoying) and you don't wanna do that around me at 9am, really bad time. So it was always going down, with me asking her to cut it out or go talk someone else (in a convincing and aggressive way).

I did think once or twice about coming to the office with a 12-gauge and silence her/them forever

Women do talk to much... it's the same thing at my work too.

I started bringing my Mp3 player... and they pretty much have to tap me on my shoulder to get my attention...

my husband had this technique he and some other guys developed in iraq to deal with the one female soldier there with them. they would just say "uh-huh" three times, then say "that b*tch" because usually girls talking are complaining about other girls. he uses the technique on me and i have to admit, it works 9 times out of ten.
