I guess comparably as much depth as to the mens 4X where there were 35 guys signed up...

Jill would have quali'd 29th in the guys and Anneke 31st. Is that saying that they are fast or that the men's field lacks depth? In the DH Tracey's time would have put her in 81st, just missing the cut.

it' about 2am here in san diego... & figured i'd check the XC live stream... it's not working!! checked on BIKEmag.com & directly on Freecaster.tv

says something about an undefined or invalid stream

keep yer fingers crossed that it's up & runnng for 4X!!!

Interesting to watch the track walk with Warner. He's not having a massive rant about the pedally section, if anything he thinks it's a good thing. Either this is him remembering his win at Kaprun fondly (that was mega-pedally wasn't it?) or more likely, now that Freecaster is the official UCI coverage, UCI get to dictate what Rob says - they can hardly have him slagging off the course after all....

Towing the party line.
Super mega slick practice this morning. Most riders decided it was too dangerous and did one slow run and went back to the pits. A few guys gave it a shot at the very end of practice and tried to cook off a quick run.

I'm no photography guru, but what made this Sam's bike seem so long? Was it the way it was shot? Or is his bike actually pretty long?

The weird fast forward, then back to the same guy about celebrating his win?

It's back now. I just watched the helmet cams and interviews with Matti and Gee, great stuff!

so the live feed just says "thanks for watching" which I assume means the 4x is over. Whats the status there? who won?

I don't have that, try refreshing if you haven't already. I have a shot of the 4x start and folks are making sure that the start area is all prepped etc. It sounds like there are a bunch of anxious fans with bullhorns just waiting around. Also isn't the 4x field for this race pretty small?

Now there's a kid doing laps across the 4x track.....

haha the 4x just started for me. . . wtf it started a full hour late on my computer. . . . i guess having a mac from the US in one time zone, and living in the UK in another timezone and being on holiday in turkey in a 3rd time zone has either confused me or the freecaster website :D
