Emilie destroyed one of her collarbones a couple of weeks back, not acing.
Sh!t. I definitely like her more then Rachel, because it seems that she is tough as a coffin nail. Just think at Windham. She had such a difficult year, it's such a bummer.

Don't know if Brosnan is already on it. It wasn't that good for him, the last time he went to Leogang.

It will be difficult to beat the Gwinner on this trek (haha!). The only one able to do it I could think of would be Minnaar. He won the little worlds earlier this year.

But what do I know.

Are worlds for free this year?

I think you're confusing Emilie (Siegenthaler) with Emmeline (Ragot). Emmeline is the one that had the bad crash at Windham... It's definitely been a year of highs and lows for her. I like her too, and I'm hoping for the best for her. She seems to be the female equivalent of Barel in her prep and results at Worlds.

oh, yeah. Just checked it. Banga quoted a post with Emmeline written in it and wrote below the comment about Siegenthaler.
Still a bummer. Emilie sends it big!

Looking past the whole Gwin dominance this year I have got to say I have been really impressed with Gee. Hasn't finished out of the top 4 this year (1-2nd 3-3rds 2-4ths). That may not seem that amazing but after switching to different team, his nasty injury and huge crash at MSA seems like a pretty good year.

^^

Completely agree about Gee. It seemed like he was getting pwned by gnarly, pre-race crashes all season and he has still been extremely consistent. If not for Gwin giving everybody the brown fist, I think this would be another pretty close contest for the overall between Greg and Gee.

My podium -

1. 'Murika
2. South Africa
3. The British Empire
4. Kiwi Land
5. The British Empire

Im over here now
if Peaty wasnt selected to the British team, is he able to race because hes on a trade team or something? or did they really "forget" to add him?

AUT is GMT +2.
MDT is GMT -6.
EDT is GMT -4.

your MDT time is correct but the EDT time will be 2 hours later, not earlier.

women's finals starts at 13:00 local time = 05:00 MDT; 07:00 EDT.
men = 14:00 local = 06:00 MDT; 08:00 EDT.
Awesome! Thanks! Your timezone converting skillz are strong!

I'm hoping sam hill has an upset victory, or steve peat takes it.

But seriously, definitely rooting for gwin, and barring that, the other thing.

Not really a track for Hill. The tech is maybe 30% of the track. Scrubs and maintaining speed will win you more than you will lose on the tech stuff. I would really want for Sam to win but I think it's unlikely.

I think Warner was spot on with his prediction on Vital.

Greg, Gee or Gwin as the favourites with Brook and Spagnola outside chances
