Had a slight problem on my ride today.They are thinking it's the Patella Tendon(the one that attaches the kne cap to the shin).Have this nifty cooler that has a pump,an inlet and outlet hose that attach to a wrap that goes around the knee.Comes with a timer to set how often it realeases the ice water.Also keeps your beer cold

Damn, I wish I had somthing like that for my knee!!

So whats the damage gonna be to your insurance company for that device? a grand? 1500?

I had my patella repaired. It took a few years to heal up all the way, but I was back on a bike a week after the operation. (Okay it was a stationary bike at my physical therapist.)

Yeah man, I hear you. Got a torn PCL, and i've been dealing with it for a long time. Have they told you how long they think you are gonna be out for?

Take a picture of the thing for us (Is it bad that we are as interested in orthapedic devices as we are in bikes? )

Yea they are great I use one at p/t for my knee, they ar e called game ready.

Ok,the swelling has gone down quite a bit.The pain has subsided some,range of motion is alittle better.Keeping my fingers crossed it's just an acute case of Patella Tendonitis.

That sucks TJ. Total bummer to hear that. Get your arse into the gym and start lifting your upper body and core. Keep yourself fit that way.

Thanks Mark.I lift three times a week now so i'm good there.I'm just really excited about this season and dont wanna see it ended before it begins.Road spring series starts in Feb which is just around the corner.
