A 58-year-old man was injured this morning when he fell off a commuter rail platform and was hit by a train.
Officials said the man apparently had an epileptic seizure just before 8 a.m. at the Fairmount station in Hyde Park.
The man was struck by a train which severed his leg. He was taken to Boston Medical Center and was reported in serious condition.
