Boy, if you're into WW3, it sure has been a couple of days. Exploding pagers, exploding walkie talkies, and exploding russian munition depots. sheesh.

From what I have read the Iran attack was well known ahead of time. If Iran really wanted to do some damage, apparenly they could. The politics of the area pretty much demanded a response. It is seen more as a face saving move as it was done with knowledge that iron dome would take care of it.

Israel is really trying to draw the US into an active conflict, especially pushing for an "Iranian solution"

What I find interesting is that from the wests point of view, Iran supports terrorists, but from their point of they are resisting Israel's illegal occupations and indiscriminate attacks on civilians in several countries. From the middle-easts perspective, we do exactly the same thing by supporting Israel, Saudi etc.

Ironic being that the US was born from terrorism and support from France, Spain and the Dutch.

Strange world we live in.

<edit>

Oh, shit - that was a larger response than expected. Not drones, and cruise missiles, but ballistic. 102? fired. And Iron dome was not totally effective as it looks like some have gotten though.

All bets are off.

If we get involved it would be another proxy war with Russia.

That is a fear of mine as well. It will shift attention off of Ukraine and therefore the pressure on Russia. Apparently Israel is in defiance of more UN santions than the rest of the word combined, yet they get supported without question. Bloody US "Christians" and their hard-on for armageddon and the rapture.

Cue more acceptance of the Gaza genocide, less sympathy for Israel doing the same in Lebanon and more negative diatribe and oppression of US Muslims.

Fuck I hate religion - all of it.

250 missiles say the Iranians. Retaliation for the assassinations in Damascus

And people wonder why it is all going to shit in the middle east.
This is one very large reason and it is not Iran and their religious nut jobs.

That kind of drone may not need to be particularly stealthy for it's role likely, since it's intended to serve as either a remote radar that will reflect signals back or can be used to box in an enemy. Bonus if it is, but as a "buddy" platform for an aircraft this likely means using significant EM that will be detected (like radar) on purpose. The worse shit is the data link tech that Russia appears to be using with it, which is far less advanced, but that's also intel that may not be correct. Also, sensor capability is a huge part of these.

Not surprised TBH.
probably using it as a way to get actual combat experience against western trained and armed troops in prep for fighting south korea.
Only surprise to me is;
A/ it hasn't happened earlier.
B/ That China isn't doing the same.

If you feed them to the meatgrinder, you don't have to feed them at home.
They have put resources into arms production that should have gone to feeding the people.

From what I have read food insecurity is high and they may be approaching famine this winter.
