While the Czechs are supplying actual tanks to Ukraine, tiny Estonia has donated five times as many weapons as Germany with a fraction of the GNP and population.

Isn't Germany making the excuse that it cannot as they weapons they have are necessary under NATO commitements while never actually trying to meet NATO commitments while also being one of the largest arms exporters?

But Germany has buffer countries bewteen Russia so why worry?

No surprise that Koch Industries is one of the few US companies still going all out in Russia. Looks like Redbull is the same which has some relevance to a MTB forum.

I am also reminded of one of the reasons why I hate Siemens. When I used to compete against them I was obliged to check on my customers to ensure they complied with export restrictions when they resold our products whilst Siemens would offer to direct ship restricted technologies to places like Russia and Iran so people could avoid US restrictions.

Remember when Russia pretty much shot down a Malaysian airliner, denied it and then provided the perpetrators a 'security guarantee'? Expect the same unless someone in the Ukrainian diaspora pulls some Mossad type shit or they get re-deployed to Ukraine and are captured, but I suspect capture probably isn't on the table. if redeployed will probably be sent behind lines to further terrorize civilians.

There is always some bs excuse, just like there is for blocking a full energy embargo. It’s a lack of political will and a denial of miscalculations and the urgency of the situation.
But Germany has buffer countries bewteen Russia so why worry?
Seriously, the political class across party lines that didn’t learn in 2014 that their Russia policy, which may well have been reasonable before, had utterly failed will never get the memo short of being invaded themselves.

Riding the baggage carousel.
We now know, that the initial delays to 40 mile convoy were done by a specialist forest combat unit of only 30 commandos, led by Ukrainian Col Yaroslav Honchar. They used quad bikes to move fast in the swampy forest. They had night vision gear & drones
Its amazing they didn't drown in the swamp, what with dragging their massive balls around.

There's another substory there - russian soldiers used to steal and sell their new communication devices on ebay in the past couple of years. The Ukrainian army apparently used those to trick the russians in believing that he convoy was just about to reach them, for a few weeks. (!!!)

Absolutely. But at least it gave us this response by a Slovenian PM to the Russian Foreign Ministry complaining about the expulsion of embassy staff:

I saw that tweet, but didn't realize who the author was. :)
I am happy to see that my country is actively trying to help - both with humanitarian aid and by providing weapons. We know that every Ukrainian who gave his life for UA fights for the independence of Prague as well. Just saw a report that a UA firefighter injured by a landmine is being treated in my home town university hospital. It's small things, but they add up - unlike the deafening silence of the majority of the EU.
And for the record, fuck Hungary.

Slovenian prime minister's response to Russia saying that reducing the staff at the Russian embassy was unfriendly..

I'm struggling to synthesize this one. Brute force and logistical ineptitude seem to be the pattern thus far with the RU military based on what we are to believe. Doing what's claimed in this link would seem to take a reasonable amount of aptitude. There have been many atrocities, but this one is hard to wrap my head around at this current time.

Who owns those - the army, or the FSB? My bet is on the latter. I would not be surprised if they were up to the murderous task.

I have no idea. I clicked the link and saw wording and a picture of a truck that contextually aligned with the words. Shame on me if it is obvious what was claimed and I'm too obtuse. I'm not looking to stir the pot, I'm just struggling to understand the execution of that level of cohesiveness and specificity to carry out what's being claimed in light of what's been reported so far. Maybe this is the tip of the iceberg and I'll come to realize that this is happening in a way similar to other genocidal or European imperialism events where removal of tribes happened at an industrial scale.....
