I heard a voice message today when I called 540-289-4914 that there are not
hotel rooms available for April 29, 2011. Please ask for Bob and mention the
YEE-HA! bike event to reserve one of the few rooms blocked.

New trail will be part of our Race Saturday April 30, 2011 in Virginia.

This new section of trail brings you off the fire road about ~50 yards sooner. It adds flow to a needed section and connects right above the roots that roll you into the final rock garden.

Last year there was a great turnout. Do you think it'll be similar this year? Do you think the numbers will be down without it being a GES and high gas prices?

I like the looks of the changed course and am looking forward to racing it! Hopefully we will have weather like last year. Dry! 2008 & 2009 was pretty wet. Lots of rain could play havoc on a new soft section too.

just added this to the OP for everyone's info regarding hotel rooms here at Massanutten on Race weekend (April 29th & 30th) --

wait...there's no hotel rooms available for anyone at the race weekend now? this one's kind of fun because it's a whole resort type of experience...my girl was going to go and hang out. there really aren't any rooms?

There are not hotel rooms available to the general public. There are rooms that have been set aside for the YEE-HA! racers on race weekend.

If you call the number listed and mention the bike race, you should be able to get one of the rooms remaining. Please call sooner than later to make sure you don't miss out on the rooms all together.

Anyone have a bike or know of one I could borrow for Mass? I still haven't found a bike to replace my stolen bike. I'm already scheduled off next friday and would hate to miss this race.

The Weather looks amazing for Friday Practice and Saturday Race Day.

Bring your family and enjoy the 1/2 price Water Park coupon included
with your race packet pick up in the Ski Office.

Zip line is running but requires in person registration up
to 72 hours in advance. Hook up with the Zip Line office
first thing if you plan on a Canopy Tour.

I was under the assumption registration closed at midnight. Just got all my business together but I cant register.

discount for paying early. It's been that way for years and years. Keeps fair weather racers from bailing sometimes and helps a promoter get an idea of attendance from time to time.

Or better yet, sell out beforehand.

Good Luck to all this weekend !!! If you've never been to this race, GET THERE !!! If you have been, then you know you'll be missing a great weekend.

Bummed won't make it down this year, have some family obligations on Saturday. This won't happen next year.

Just turned on the computer and wanted to say thanks for the kind words. The Northeast will be missed this year down south. It has rained the 3 previous weekends, but the forecast looks super great for Friday & Saturday.

The two right hand turns are being opened up this year.
Should increase the flow during practice and Race day
fun. A tabletop jump was place prior to the Finish Line today.

The new flow trail rides perfect thanks to Chop for helping
with the hand work entrance off the dirt road.
