The letter was in my mailbox with formal language approving the gift I'd been working my ass off to secure for our Cancer Center!

We don't get no stinking bonuses working for a non-profit and doing development work.

And this comes just a tad too late for my performance review - which sucked and resulted in no raise for me for FY 07.

But still I know I worked hard last year and even though this gift came in in FY 07 it was the result of me working hard on it during FY 06.

I feel good about it!

Side note, my idea of what "the gift" is probably isn't what everyone else was thinking. I did get one of those last week though...
